The Weston Research Scholars Program gives students at Brooklyn Technical High School the opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom by contributing to original research. Scholars collaborate with scientists, physicians, programmers, and engineers in area universities, internships, and Brooklyn Tech’s own internal research programs, while completing their high school education.
Why Should I Do Research?Participation in research will distinguish students during the college admissions process. Completion of publishable research and success in research competitions can impact applicant ranking at competitive colleges and universities as well as yield financial assistance.
Research experience scan often guide, shape, and inform career decisions. Brooklyn Tech graduates who have worked in the research community can expect that the skills acquired will accelerate entrance into research or internship programs during undergraduate study.
